A Plus Projec+ Statement

The Plus Projec+ was founded in 2016 to fund organizations providing direct services support to the LGBTQ+ community in Tampa Bay. In recent weeks, as protests in reaction to police brutality and the murder of George Floyd occur daily, we have made decisions to fund several organizations working in the trenches toward equity for all who identify as LGBTQ+. Additionally, we are aware of the alarmingly disproportionate murders of black transgender women and men in cities across the country and condemn these hate crimes.
A foundational priority and core value of the Plus Projec+ is inclusion. As we work to fund organizations on the frontlines, we stand in solidarity with those who are working to make our communities safe and equitable for all who have been historically marginalized in this country.
